We're very proud to be a certified Freedom Camping Club Site, located in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside. Membership is completely free, requiring just one club member in each group. What we're about
Here at Glynmarch Farm we aim to provide a relaxing, peaceful environment in which to unwind. The campsite is a two acre meadow, part wild flowers and grasses and part mown paths and pitches. Beyond the campsite there are a further 12 acres of sheep grazing where the river Marlais meanders through our land. Winter rains change the river each year, but there’s usually a pool or two to plunge into, and plenty of nice spots for a fire or barbeque. Fires and barbeques are fine in the campsite too as long as they are raised up and don’t burn the grass.
There are walks directly from the campsite, and three miles by road will take you into Brechfa Forest with its many walking and biking trails. Further afield are the mountains of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and the wide open spaces of the Cambrian Mountains. The coast of Cardigan Bay is a less than an hour away, and the nearest South coast is a similar drive. Dolaucothi gold mines are around five miles and there are activities such as riding and canoeing close by.
Locally we have the Angel pub under a mile away which is open seven days a week and serves food in the evenings. Around three miles by car (or by foot for the hardy) there is the Black Lion at Abergorlech, open Thursday to Sunday.
Nearest shop (small,for essentials) is around four miles away in Talley, with other local shops at Cwmdu around 5 miles and Brechfa around 8 miles. There are larger shops in Llandeilo, Llandovery, Lampeter and Carmarthen.
